Late frost, rainy spring, dull summer: this 2021 vintage will have put the nerves and bodies of the winegrowers to an hard trial. But thanks to hard work and perseverance, 2021 offers us wines of great freshness, with fruity aromas of a rare expressiveness.
Château La Peyruche is located on beautiful hills overlooking the Garonne. This wine comes from an « assemblage » of plots with gravelly red and clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is entirely managed according to the specifications of Organic Agriculture and this Rosé is our first organic wine.
This wine is made from Merlot grape variety.
The grapes are harvested when the aromatic maturity is reached. After settling, the fermentation is then conducted at a lowtemperature to preserve all the fruity character of this wine.
The robe is light and bright and suggests a fresh pomelo juice. On the nose, the taster is struck by notes of citrus fruits, candied lemon. The whole, amazingly complex, is blended with aromas of white flowers. The palate is straight, smooth and the slight sweetness barely conceals the beautiful final bitters : a nice balance between acidity, smoothness and bitterness.
