The 2018 spring was capricious, between rainy episodes and hail
risks. But a beautiful summer and especially a beautiful late season allowed to harvest healthy grapes at full maturity, giving this 2018 vintage an exceptional quality.
Château La Peyruche is located on beautiful hills overlooking the Garonne. This wine comes from an assemblage of plots with gravelly red and clay-limestone soils.
This wine is made with 100% Merlot.
The grapes are harvested at optimum maturity. After vatting, the
fermentations are started. The maceration phase lasts about three
weeks. The wine is then put in barrels. This aging phase in barrels
(new, one wine and two wines) lasts from 12 to 14 months.
The nose is complex. It is very fruity, with ripe aromas of blackberry and cherry, but we can also smell spicy and toasted aromas.
The palate is rich, ripe and round. This wine is structured with soft

Serve at room temperature, 16-18°C. Do not hesitate to put this
wine into a carafe a couple of hours before tasting.
This wine will idealy fit with your red meats or cheese plates.
