VINTAGE
Late frost, rainy spring, dull summer: this 2021 vintage will have put the nerves and bodies of the winegrowers to an hard trial. But thanks to hard work and perseverance, 2021 offers us wines of great freshness, with fruity aromas of a rare expressiveness.
 
VINEYARD
Château La Peyruche is located on beautiful hills overlooking the Garonne. This wine comes from a single plot of Merlot (Le Pin - North part) on clay-limestone mixed with red gravel. The vineyard is entirely managed according to the specifications of Organic Agriculture.
 
GRAPE VARIETY
100% Merlot.
 
VINIFICATION
The grapes are harvested when the aromatic maturity is reached. The vatting lasts from 10 to 15 days, at moderate temperature. These fermentation conditions give this wine its fruity character and supple structure. The wine is then aged in amphoras to reveal the fineness of its varietal character.

TASTING
On the nose, notes of black cherry mingle with those of blackberry. The attack is round and smooth, balanced between acidity and freshness, main characteristics of this 2021 vintage.
