VINTAGE
After a late frost at the beginning of April which spared the estate, followed by a mild spring and an exceptional flowering, drought set in. However, our vines resisted superbly thanks to a well thought-out and accomplished vineyard management. The harvest was early, but the quality of the juice is quite remarkable.
VINEYARD
Château La Peyruche is located on the magnificent hillsides overlooking the Garonne River. This wine is made from a blend of plots with red gravel and clay-limestone soils. All our plots are cultivated according to the specifications of the Organic Agriculture.
VARIETY
100% Merlot
VINIFICATION
The grapes are harvested when the aromatic maturity is reached. After clarification, fermentation is carried out at low temperature in order to preserve the fruity character of this wine.
TASTING
The robe is pale, slightly salmon-colored. On the nose, notes of redcurrant and raspberry are perceptible. They are accompanied by biscuity and vanilla aromas which call for greediness. The mouth is fresh, fruity, balanced between acidity and roundness.
FOOD AND WINE PAIRING
To be drunk chilled (10 to 12°C). It will perfectly accompany your summer aperitifs and barbecues.
